As a professional craftsman, R. Scott Runyan felt it was advantageous to work and serve people in his hometown. He started Wooden Concepts at 222 State Street in Boone, Iowa in September of 1998 and has since moved to 1937 205th Street. He started out building kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, home entertainment centers and office desks.The quality of Wooden Concepts dove tail drawer cores became known to other local cabinet shops, the company grew and soon began to take orders for their dovetail drawer cores. Since then, Wooden Concepts has switched over to making drawer cores exclusively.
